“Looks like tonight it’s gonna shine, ..another Fools Moon”

Cheryl presents an edgy Country/Blues/Folk vibe. Her delivery varies intricately between soft and simple to downright powerful. Imagine a sultry blend of Stevie Nicks & Bonnie Raitt’s vocal styles topped off with a touch of Lucinda & Iris Dement!

Her life was fairly typical for a Singer/Songwriter/Musician (With-A-Full-Time-Job & Family) up until the National Disaster known as The Opioid Epidemic wreaked total havok! The turn of the century pretty much sucked the life blood out of any semblance of normal life for Cheryl and her family. It was time for some soul searching! Not much beats a good ole session of songwriting for therapy. Cheryl is certainly no stranger to turning to music when life gets mean and knocks the dominoes down. “When the heart aches… pour it out into the universe via your very own vehicle. Write a song dammit!”

Current projects: There are THREE CD’s in the works. All of them being produced at White Cat Studios in Houston, Texas with the infamous Jack Saunders.

CD #1: Its available EVERYWHERE Now! This record is a fun Twangin’ Folkin’ Rock album. Bobbitt’s originals take center stage though she covers songs from two of her favorite Texas writers, Dale Watson and Jack Saunders.

CD #2: Want to know this girls beginnings? Next up is a collection of songs that reflect her Cawood roots that grow deep in the hollar’s of Harlan County, Kentucky. She is thrilled to have a co-write with Jack Saunders on this collection! This collaboration takes the listener on a journey through the story of an intriguing murder sage from the 1960’s! She is the writer on many of the tracks on this project but felt compelled to include some regional favorites. This gal has let loose some serious Hillbilly on this CD!

CD #3: This is a very special collection of songs dedicated to everyone affected by the opioid epidemic. The songs represent the many emotions that surface and the injustices that follow. The writing ultimately sends a message of HOPE. Hope for both the addict and for those who love them. Watch for a Kickstarter Campaign to accompany this effort. Cheryl is planning to offer free concerts to support organizations working toward better outcomes both in Kentucky and in Texas. The talented Mrs. Janet Bell is highly involved in this project as well. Good things are happening!! Stay Tuned!

The BIO’s for Cheryl & The Band:

Cheryl is a Singer/Songwriter/Musician playing Acoustic and Bass Guitars, and Upright Bass.

Cheryl’s family roots run deep in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky though she grew up in Covington, Kentucky near the banks of the mighty Ohio River. She performed on the Greater Cincinnati Area music scene for many years covering everything from Top-40 Country, Classic/Top-40 Rock, and Blues, to Polka-Funka-Rock-A-Billy, Hippie Music, a bit of Jazz, and even a bit of Irish Folk Music. She celebrated many vibrant years on the scene!

One of the coolest moments has been getting air play on local Cincinnati radio stations, WNKU and WAIF with the iconic band "The Flock". She recorded multiple cuts on their original album ‘Recovering Catholics’. Hanging out with prolific songwriter David Gilligan inspired her to be more serious about her own songwriting. Being an active member of the Cincinnati/Dayton NSAI Chapter for several years also brought tons of inspiration to become a better writer.

Jack Saunders of White Cat Studios in Houston is producing the project as we speak. This endeavor brings collective insight into a very real person and a vivid collection of some of the stories that framed her life.

Songwriter Influences: Jeffrey Steele, Dolly Parton, Lucinda Williams, Bryan Adams, John Cougar Mellencamp, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Loretta Lynn, Bruce Springstein, Shawn Colvin, and countless others. "If the lyric writing is good and the music moves me, then I’m diggin’ it!"

His playing experiences range from bluegrass, dixieland jazz, college jazz ensembles, top 40 country/rock/pop, americana and red dirt country.

Paulo attended the University of North Texas College of Music in Denton, Texas … better known as “the Julliard of Texas”, where he spent 3 years playing in the U.N.T. system and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree. His experience in multiple bands and genres over the years include Latin, Jazz, Country, R&B, and various Rock & Roll genres.
